A Demon Bound Imp Series Book 1 edition by Debra Dunbar Paranormal Romance eBooks
I won't bother writing a synopsis, as you've probably read the one describing the book to get to this point. I'm going to start with the bad. The writing is choppy, a little uneven, there are some information dumps. The worst part for me was the complete lack of understanding on how to write in past perfect tense, and the author wasn't even consistent in her wrongness. At one point, half a sentence was written in present tense, but I think that was a stylistic choice, and I'm okay with that, when it's well-done (see how I did that tense change there? Not to brag or anything....). But you have to know the rules to break the rules. As other reviewers have pointed out, the MC, Sam, is a demon, and she takes unholy delight in being a demon. The angels aren't all sweetness and lollipops, either. There's some crude language and some sexual content. So, for readers, who are bothered by that kind of thing, skip this one, you'll just be wasting your time. For the rest of us, however.... I took an unholy glee in reading this. So much so, that I did not deduct a star for the inconsistent verb tenses or the choppy writing. I thought the choppy writing actually lent itself to the first person POV. It gave the MC a unique voice. Another reviewer thought Sam the Imp didn't have chemistry with Wyatt the human. I disagree. I just think that Sam had more chemistry with Gregory the Angel, because Gregory is hot and alpha and a freaking, powerful angel! But I will agree that the character of Wyatt was not consistent. First he's Sam's handy-man/best friend, then he's understandably upset, when she tries to "Own" him (it's a demon thing), then he's red-faced with jealousy two days later.
This book was so fun to read, but you do have to have a kind of dark sense of humor to enjoy it. There were some original ideas and a unique voice, and I was intrigued by the questions and possibilities that were hinted about, but not explored in this book. If you've ever gotten tired of limpid-eyed heroines, or thought, "I need a little more bad in my life,' then I recommend this book.

A Demon Bound Imp Series Book 1 edition by Debra Dunbar Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
I think I got interested by the book because of non-human main character. Sam is not even half human, which is great in my view. I can’t claim her to be my new favorite character, but undeniable she is an intriguing one. Sam is a trickster, and she is definitely a demon. I liked that she is presented to us as amoral enough to kick a child, but not too evil for the reader not being capable to relate to her. She spent such a long time in her human persona, that she is almost one of us by now. I really liked the way her age is a contradiction she is 40ish in her human form, barely adult by demon standards and she lived over 900 years.
I general I liked her as a character – she is not very deep (well she is a minor demon, after all), but complex and multi-dimensional (literally sometimes). I liked that she is presented as successful business woman. One, who is esteemed, respected, even feared and off-course successful.
I wish the sexy part of her personality was more physical. She talks, and thinks a lot about sex; but in a bottom line there is barely a kiss in the book. (I still to find Fantasy or Sci-Fi book which is not prudish. Almost majority of the heroines in the books I read so far are barely sexually active previous to the story, and most of authors include on-page sex only when it develops from serious relationship.)
World building is quite basic for Urban Fantasy, but I suppose it has potential. I admit it bothered me a bit how everybody are scared of angels… But I suppose I can accept it as the story’s credo.
The first half of the book was a bit slow, and a bit too explanatory. But from the moment the angel appeared it became much fun. The plot started to move forward and I laughed a lot.
Interaction between Sam and Gregory is priceless. I wish, only, he wouldn’t call her cockroach all the time. I understand his disdain, but maybe he could be more diverse with insults?..
Anyway, I can’t wait to read more of the series.

Cover Is ok...
Cliffhanger Yup...
Well, i got this book for FREE and i decided to try it. After all, it involved angels.
Sam is a demon possessing the body of a woman and it has been doing that for 40 years on earth. She knows if she uses a little power, the angels will be on her tail before she says Hi. So she behaves like a human. But then the werewolves are being hunted and she is hired to do something about it. Obviously that makes it visible to angels, and not just an angel, an enforcer-badass-demons are cockroaches angel.
His name is Gregory...
Now Gregory could kill Sam with just a thought, but something stops him and he becomes even more intrigued by this demon.
Demons and Angels have always been at odds but these two are starting to think that what they have been taught for millennia may not be completely true or all the truth.
One thing, it seems the demon is no woman or man, i got that impression, it was possessing the body of a woman, therefore it was a woman...
I enjoyed this book, laughed a lot and Sam was a perfect demon...will continue with the series.
